IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS please contact the School at 330-972-5959. You do not have to be here the entire time, but we will be available between 9 and noon. If you can’t attend, you may send your work on CD but we must receive it prior to February 23.

You may show up to 10 pieces of original artwork. For each piece, write a sentence or two stating what the work is about and what you think is successful about it. We recommend that you show your understanding of:

OBSERVATIONAL SKILLS: drawing from life (not from photographs) the human figure, still life, landscape, self portrait

CRAFTSMANSHIP: technique, handling of materials, presentation

DESIGN SKILLS: development of the page, rendering of composition color and value

CREATIVITY: clear concept, originality

INCLUDE A COPY OF YOUR MOST RECENT TRANSCRIPT (Even if you sent Admissions a copy)

All events are held at the Myers School of Art in Folk Hall, 150 East Exchange Street, Akron, Ohio 44325. There will be a waiting area for families. Parking is free in front of Folk Hall.
