Laurie Anderson: Homeland

One of today’s premier performance artists, Laurie Anderson is bringing her Homeland Tour from Europe to Akron. Experience Anderson’s signature mix of projected imagery, storytelling, electronic wizardry, vocals, and inventive tape-bow violin. Her amazing work has been presented at museums in America and Europe, including the Guggenheim in SoHo and the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris. Her recordings include Big Science, featuring the song “O Superman." In 2002, Anderson was appointed the first artist-in-residence of NASA. Presented by UA’s Mary Schiller Myers Lecture Series and Myers School of Art.

The Myers School of Art provides a high quality education and leadership in the fine arts, art history, design, and art education. We seek to provide excellence in teaching, research, and community service, contributing to the visual culture of the region.
