“Karen Kunc: Prints” is currently on display in the Emily Davis Gallery in Folk Hall from Jan. 14 – March 1, 2008.
Karen Kunc is one of the most prolific and influential figures in printmaking today. The artist's abstract prints use rich color and bold forms while incorporating both complex and subtle variations in color and texture.
Kunc is a Professor of Art at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she teaches printmaking, papermaking, and book arts. Kunc’s prints have been exhibited in group and solo shows nationally and internationally, and are included in numerous public and private collections including the Museum of Modern Art (NY); the Library of Congress; the Smithsonian American Art Museum; the National Museum of Women in the Arts and many others.
