Professor Dixon is the author of two important books on the artist Hieronymus Bosch and is considered one of the country’s leading experts on the artist’s work. Her lecture will address late Medieval medicine and Bosch’s famous representations of demonic creatures.

The Catherine H. Campbell Memorial Art History Lecture Series annually brings renowned art historians to The University of Akron campus. Founded by Catherine H. Campbell, the series continues thanks to the generosity of her family and friends.
