I received my MFA in Printmaking from The Ohio State University in Columbus, and my BFA in Printmaking from State University College at Buffalo, NY.
As Senior Lecturer at the Myers School of Art, University of Akron I have been teaching Foundation Drawing I, Color Media in Drawing, Foundation 2-D Design, Intro Relief Printing since the Fall of 2000. During the same time period I have also served as Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Art at Youngstown State University teaching Foundation Drawing, Intermediate Drawing, Expressive Drawing, 2-D Design, Silkscreen Printing.
My work consists of hand-pulled prints, digital prints, collages and books. The imagery incorporates elements of snapshots with familiar textures, landscapes and text. My objective is to create a sense of personal narrative in a single image.
Recent exhibitions include: Dog-Eared: revealing the contents of artists’ books at Purdue University, Election Obsession at Kent State University Galleries, and as the feature artist of Rock Paper Scissors in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Upcoming exhibitions for 2009 are: a two-person exhibition at North Florida Community College, a group exhibition at Anton Art Center in Michigan, and the traveling exhibition M.I.M.B. (Monumental Idea, Miniature Book).
