The Myers School of Art offers many opportunities for students to succeed. Scholarships, travel grants, and a tools and materials grant enable students to achieve their goals by funding their initiatives. PDF's with further information about our grants can be found under DOWNLOADS on the right.
We strive to provide a safe environment for our Students, Faculty and Staff. Our building is equipped with security cameras in every hall and a swipe card system for 24/7 student access. We also work closely with the University of Akron Police Department to help make our school a safe place to work and study. To be given access to the new card swipe system please stop by the front office for more information.
Ranked third nationally as Intel’s top 50 wireless campuses, the University of Akron allows students to connect wirelessly from anywhere on campus. In addition to being a wireless campus the Myers School of Art has 8 Macintosh computer labs available to students including a Student Service office complete with color copiers and printers. If you are having trouble or need help setting up a wireless connection please call the HELP DESK at 330.972.6888. The HELP DESK is located in Bierce Library room 69.
